Boys’ basketball

Howard sinks 41 points in Rossville win

The Rossville boys’ basketball team defeated Faith Christian 77-71 in the opening round of the Indiana Kitchen Classic Tuesday at Delphi.

Senior Clayton Howard had a team-high 41 points for Rossville, making 17 out of 23 field goals. He also made seven out of eight free throws.

Sophomore Blake Miller was second for the Hornets with 16 points and senior Elijah Beard had a team-high 10 rebounds.

Rossville faces host Delphi in the semifinals today.

Girls’ basketball

1A Rossville falls to 3A West Lafayette

The Rossville girls’ basketball team traveled to West Lafayette Monday and lost 74-41.

Keely Criswell led the Hornets in scoring with nine points followed by Taylor Zink (8). Maggie Deboy had a team-high nine rebounds.

Rossville Middle School boys’ basketball

The Rossville eighth grade basketball team lost to Central Catholic 41-36 in overtime Tuesday. Chase Frey led the way with 11 points. Bryce Oliver and Dawson Jacoby each added eight points. The Rossville “B” team lost to Central Catholic 41-23. Corbin Beard led the way with 11 points and Jacob Dahmen added eight.
