This year’s race to make The Times All-Clinton County boys’ basketball team was a tight one, but in the end, the two best teams filled most of the first and second teams.

Frankfort and Rossville combine to take up 7-of-10 spots on the All-County teams, with Rossville leading the charge with four selections. Clinton Prairie nabbed two selections and Clinton Central grabbing the last spot.

The race for All-County player of the year was also quite competitive. Rossville senior Brandon Tonsoni took home the honor as he was voted first by two coaches and second by the other opposing coach.

Joining Tonsoni on the first team were Frankfort seniors Christian Smith and Brody Kirby, Clinton Prairie sophomore Kale Morris and Rossville senior Austin Miller.

The second team honors went to Clinton Central junior Jake Burton, Rossville senior ET Brenneman, CP senior Austin Martin, Frankfort senior Isaac Rudd and Rossville junior Clayton Howard. Earning honorable mention selections were CP junior Merrick McGraw, Frankfort senior Chase Timmons, CC senior Cole Simmons, CC senior Lane McCoy and CC junior Tyler Burns.

Voting on the All-County teams were the four county coaches. They were CC’s Scott Leighty, CP’s Ryne Smith, Frankfort’s Tom Weeks and Rossville’s Dave Mosson.
